I had the pleasure of sampling some of the dishes and drinks here at an event last month. Those bites and sips left me hungry for more and curious – How consistent would the excellent food and service be on just a regular evening?
Kings Old Fashion is a cocktail to savor!
The Kings Old Fashion would start my dining experience on a high note. I’m a whiskey girl and love a good, strong yet delicious cocktail and this one did not disappoint.
Their wine selection was surprisingly excellent and reasonable. There is something for everyone on the list. We couldn’t resist treating ourselves to an excellent Napa Cabernet Sauvignon.
Meatballs with Fresh Ricotta..as good as mamma made (don’t tell her I said that)!
We had to try the Meatballs with Fresh Ricotta appetizer. Three large meatballs sat in an incredibly flavorful sauce with three crispy pieces of grilled Tuscan bread. Everything about this appetizer focused on the flavors. It could have been so easy for Fire & Oak to fall flat and bland on the meatballs and sauce but they absolutely did not. With such a pleasing appetizer out of the way, I wondered if the fantastic quality would carry into our main dishes.
Of course it did.
Fire & Oak BBQ Ribs..the best ribs I have ever tasted!
You must try the Fire & Oak BBQ Ribs at least once. Everything about this dish is perfection from the tangy BBQ sauce to the falling off the bone tenderness of the pork.
The Oven Roasted Stuffed French Chicken Breast is a thing of beauty!
The Oven Roasted Stuffed French Chicken Breast was another hit. The combination of shiitake mushrooms, Fontina, spinach and peppers was unbelievable and the chicken was wonderfully juicy. The Roasted Garlic Whipped Potatoes were genius and not salty at all; just right.
The service was incredibly attentive throughout the meal and seemed consistent at every table. We were constantly checked on but never rushed. Since we were in a leisurely mood…
Housemade Tiramisu
…we had to try the Tiramisu, made in-house. Light in texture but decadent in flavor, I’m left wondering if all their desserts are this good.
A big thank you to Fire & Oak for proving such a memorable meal. I cannot wait to return for more.
